Copy cat is a great activity to bond with tamariki while promoting physical and mental growth. This simple activity involves copying actions, which is a proven method for learning and helps create positive memories for both tamariki and whānau.

Why do it?

  • Copying is one of the most powerful ways that a child learns.
  • Active play helps tamariki to get stronger, more coordinated, more confident and more skilled.
  • Repeated experiences cause physical growth and changes in a child's brain.
  • Play helps to form good memories with parent and child and eases any tension and stress.
